Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan presented details to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian about the Washington accords signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the initialed peace agreement.
Axar.az informs according to Armenian media, he said the process is aimed at opening prospects for the economic development of the entire region.
“I am happy and thankful for President Pezeshkian’s objective assessments about these accords. One of the key agreements with Azerbaijan is about the reopening of connection routes in the region, with full mutual respect of the countries’ sovereignty, jurisdiction and territorial integrity. Practically this would open new doors for railway cooperation between Armenia and Iran, including through the Nakhchivan-Julfa railway, which would mean Iranian railway access toward Armenia and eventually the Black Sea,” Pashinyan said.
