iran uses drones for nationwide cloud-seeding operations

Iran is carrying out cloud-seeding operations using drones to produce rainfall.

Axar.az reports that Iran’s Minister of Energy, Abbas Aliabadi, provided the information.

Aliabadi stated that cloud-seeding operations inside the country are now being conducted in a more systematic manner, based on scientific data:

“In this framework, over the past year, 61 drone operations and 2,000 hours of ground operations were conducted across 31 provinces.”

The Iranian minister noted that the cloud-seeding operations are carried out especially over Lake Urmia, Zayandeh-Rud, Tehran, Alborz, Fars, and Khorasan.
