US control of Greenland is vital to its planned air and missile defense system called Golden Dome.

Axar.az reports that US President Donald Trump wrote about this on his “Truth Social” social network account.

“Greenland is essential to the US for national security purposes. It is vital to the Golden Dome that we are building. NATO must help us get it. If we don’t, Russia or China will, and it won’t happen!

Without the enormous military power of the US (much of which I created during my first term as president and am now taking it to a new, higher level), NATO would not be an effective force or deterrent, not even close to that.

They know it, and I know it. With Greenland in US hands, NATO will be much more formidable and effective. Anything less is unacceptable,” Donald Trump noted.
