Trump: Without US NATO is a ‘paper tiger’

U.S. President Donald Trump criticized NATO allies in a post on Truth Social, accusing them of failing to support efforts against Iran and refusing to help address rising oil prices.

Axar.az reports Trump claimed that without the United States, NATO “is a paper tiger,” and said allies had declined to join military actions aimed at stopping Iran.

"Without the U.S.A., NATO IS A PAPER TIGER! They didn’t want to join the fight to stop a Nuclear Powered Iran. Now that fight is Militarily WON, with very little danger for them, they complain about the high oil prices they are forced to pay, but don’t want to help open the Strait of Hormuz, a simple military maneuver that is the single reason for the high oil prices," he wrote on Truth Social.

He added that reopening the Strait of Hormuz would be easy and low-risk for allies, accusing them of cowardice and warning that the United States would remember their stance.
