Drone strikes hit Russian Baltic oil hubs - Video

Ukrainian drone attacks have forced a temporary halt to oil exports at the Russian ports of Primorsk and Ust-Luga in the Leningrad region.

Axar.az reports, citing RBC-Ukraine, following strikes, while Ust-Luga has partially resumed operations after a brief security alert, Primorsk—a critical hub capable of handling over one million barrels per day—remains closed.

The disruptions coincide with a recent U.S. Treasury Department decision to temporarily ease restrictions on 124 million barrels of Russian oil already at sea, a move intended to stabilize global markets but criticized by President Volodymyr Zelensky for potentially providing the Kremlin with up to $10 billion in revenue.

With Primorsk offline, the physical loss of daily supply may offset the impact of these regulatory exemptions, further complicating a month where Russian oil revenues had already reached their lowest levels since the 2022 invasion.
