Abbas: Jerusalem holy sites status will not change

Despite ongoing attacks and violations, attempts will not succeed in changing the historical and legal status of the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

Axar.az reports, citing SADA, that this was stated by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in a message addressed to Theophilus III of Jerusalem and representatives of the Orthodox Church on the occasion of Easter.

Abbas emphasized that the Palestinian people and the world will not accept such changes to the status of the holy sites.
