Putin declares Easter ceasefire in Ukraine conflict

The ceasefire declared by Russian President Vladimir Putin ahead of Orthodox Easter has come into effect.

Axar.az reports that the ceasefire is in force from 4:00 p.m. Moscow time (1:00 p.m. GMT) on April 11 until 9:00 p.m. GMT on April 12, 2026.

It should be noted that on April 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced an Easter ceasefire in the context of the Ukraine conflict.

The Kremlin also stated that Russia expects Ukraine to follow its example and declare a ceasefire for the Orthodox Easter period as well.
