Putin, Pezeshkian hold phone call on regional issues

A telephone conversation took place between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

Axar.az reports, citing Fars News, the two leaders discussed the outcomes of talks held in Pakistan and exchanged views on current developments.

During the call, Putin expressed Russia’s readiness to assist in finding a political and diplomatic solution to the conflict surrounding Iran. Pezeshkian, in turn, expressed appreciation for Russia’s principled position and thanked Moscow for its humanitarian assistance.

The Iranian president also extended Easter greetings to Putin and all Orthodox Christians in Russia.

Both sides reaffirmed their mutual commitment to further strengthening comprehensive good-neighborly relations between Russia and Iran.
