EU could become strongest with UK, Turkiye, Norway

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that if Ukraine, Turkiye, Norway, and the United Kingdom were part of the European Union, it would become one of the strongest alliances in the world.

Axar.az reports, citing UkrinformTV, Zelensky said these countries could significantly strengthen EU security due to their combined capabilities and reliable security systems.

He noted that the joint potential of Ukraine and Turkiye in particular could enhance regional stability, especially in the Black Sea region and in terms of airspace control.

“I believe that these four countries will make the EU the strongest alliance in the world with the best security system… We are not seeking any alternative. I am convinced that these countries are very strong and can strengthen the EU. And even separately they are powerful players,” Zelensky said.

He also stressed that Ukraine rejects simplified paths to EU and NATO membership and insists on full integration, emphasizing long-term cooperation and the development of a shared European security system.
