US President Donald Trump has said that Russian President Vladimir Putin was not invited to a G20 summit in Miami, but suggested his presence could be beneficial.
Axar.az informs that, speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump was asked whether Putin would be invited to the summit. He replied that he was not, adding: “But if he came, it would probably be very helpful.”
It should be noted that earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin said Moscow had received an invitation to attend the upcoming G20 summit in the United States at the highest level, though no final decision had yet been made.
