Aliyev’s participation in EPC Summit significant, PM says

Azerbaijani President’s participation in the 8th Summit of the European Political Community via video link and the attendance of Turkiye's Vice President in the event are of great importance in the context of the development of the peace process and regional cooperation.

Axar.az reports that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made the remarks in his statement following the results of the 8th Summit of the European Political Community.

According to him, discussions underscored the growing need for sincere dialogue and practical solutions to address global challenges and promote peace and stability.

Pashinyan noted that they also addressed the importance of advancing peace and stability in the South Caucasus region.

The Armenian Prime Minister stressed the importance of connectivity. “Connectivity was highlighted as a cornerstone of economic security, resilience, and long-term stability,” the Prime Minister said, noting that strengthening interconnections, alongside advancing climate and energy goals, was recognized as a shared priority. “Discussions also emphasized the importance of regional cooperation and the potential of open and integrated regions to enhance intercontinental links,” the Armenian PM noted.

“Lasting peace, normalization of relations, and the opening of borders would benefit the region and strengthen broader European connectivity and cooperation,” Pashinyan said.
