Kazakhstan’s Adilet wins Kurultai elections

The final results of Kazakhstan’s snap parliamentary elections, held on August 23, have been announced.

Axar.az reports, citing local media, that according to Kazakhstan’s Central Election Commission, the Adilet Party won 71.17% of the vote and secured 110 seats in the Mazhilis.

The Auyl People’s Democratic Patriotic Party received 6.26% and won 10 seats, while Respublica received 5.56% and secured nine seats. The Aq Zhol Democratic Party and the Nationwide Social Democratic Party received 5.21% and 5.11%, respectively, winning eight seats each.

A total of 9,351,539 voters took part in the election, with voter turnout reaching 74.08%.
