Joint command-and-staff and special military exercises involving the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) have begun at the Chebarkulsky training ground in Russia’s Central Military District.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that the exercises include “Interaction-2026” involving the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces, as well as the special exercises “Search-2026” and “Echelon-2026.”

The CSTO said around 2,000 servicemen and 350 units of military and special equipment are participating in the exercises.

Military contingents from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan arrived in Russia for the drills, the CSTO said.
