The Pentagon has begun releasing a new batch of previously classified files related to unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs), publishing the materials on a dedicated Pentagon “UFO” website.
Axar.az reports, citing CBS News, the release includes 162 files from multiple U.S. agencies, including the FBI, the Department of Defense, NASA, and the State Department. The documents contain eyewitness reports, images, videos, and records of sightings spanning decades across various regions of the world.
The materials include six NASA-related photographs from the Apollo 17 Moon Mission, as well as modern military observations and incident reports from 2020–2026.
The release also features records of unexplained aerial encounters in regions including Iraq, Syria, the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, the Gulf of Aden, and Greece. Some reports describe unusual objects performing high-speed maneuvers and sharp directional changes.
In addition, the FBI case file dating back to 1947–1968 includes reports of “flying disc” sightings, photographs, and internal correspondence regarding unexplained aerial phenomena.
CBS News reported that some recent cases involve infrared footage of unidentified objects tracked by military aircraft, as well as descriptions of unusual aerial movements such as rapid turns and high-speed flight patterns.
U.S. officials stated that many cases remain unresolved, meaning no definitive explanation has been reached. The Pentagon added that the documents will continue to be released in stages as they are declassified.
It is also noted that U.S. President Donald Trump ordered the disclosure of UFO-related government files, calling for “maximum transparency” on the issue.
