Hungary’s new PM leaves former government residence

Hungary’s new Prime Minister Peter Magyar has moved out of the former government residence.

Axar.az reports that Magyar announced the decision on his Facebook account.

"As I indicated earlier, I will not move into the Carmelite Monastery.

The Prime Minister’s headquarters and the venue for government meetings will be located at 5 Alkotmany Street in Budapest.

Until now, the building served as the Ministry of Construction and Transport.

The building is just a few steps from Parliament, and it is symbolic that the Prime Minister’s Office will now be located on Constitution Street," the statement reads.
