Ukraine develops first guided aerial bomb -

Ukraine's first domestically developed guided aerial bomb, created with support from the Brave1 defence tech cluster, has completed the necessary tests and is ready for combat use, Ukrainian Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said.

Axar.az informs, citing Ukrainska Pravda, that according to Fedorov, development of the weapon took 17 months.

Fedorov said the Ukrainian aerial bomb "has a unique design and was created with the realities of modern warfare in mind".

"This is not a copy of Western or Soviet solutions but an original development by Ukrainian engineers designed to effectively strike fortifications, command posts and other enemy targets dozens of kilometres deep after launch," the minister said.

The warhead of the Ukrainian KAB weighs 250 kg. Fedorov added that the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has already purchased the first experimental batch of the munitions.
