US prepares for possible Iran deal signing in Geneva

Four U.S. Air Force C-17 aircraft departed for Europe on Thursday carrying equipment for a potential visit by Vice President JD Vance to Geneva, where a signing ceremony between the United States and Iran could take place in the coming days.

Axar.az reports that Axios journalist Barak Ravid, citing a diplomat from one of the mediating countries, said the U.S. and Iran have agreed on the wording of a draft deal, although final approval is still required.

"American Air Force planes took off for Europe last night with equipment in preparation for the possibility of a trip by Vice President Vance to a signing ceremony in Geneva in the coming days," Ravid wrote on X.
