Russia launched a fresh ballistic missile attack on Kyiv late Thursday, triggering air raid alerts across the Ukrainian capital and other regions.

Axar.az reports, citing Kyiv Independent, that Ukraine’s Air Force issued a ballistic missile warning shortly before 9 p.m. local time, followed by reports of multiple explosions in Kyiv.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said air defense units were responding to the attack. No information on casualties or damage has been reported so far.

The strike comes less than two weeks after a major Russian missile and drone attack on Kyiv that killed five people and damaged the historic Kyiv Pechersk Lavra.
