A 5.4-magnitude earthquake has struck off the coast of Venezuela’s Aragua state.
Axar.az reports, citing the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, that the epicenter was located 60 km west of the capital Caracas at a depth of 35 km.
No information has been reported regarding casualties or damage.
It should be noted that on June 25, a 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck northern Venezuela, followed by two additional tremors of 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude, recorded 40 seconds apart by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). The disaster has reportedly claimed 1,430 lives, and a state of emergency has been declared in the country.
