Israel says it struck Hezbollah sites in Lebanon

The Israeli military said it carried out airstrikes on around 10 Hezbollah infrastructure sites in southern Lebanon and separately struck a truck used by the group to transport weapons.

Axar.az reports that in a statement posted on its X account, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said the strikes targeted sites in the areas of Bint Jbeil, Beit Yahoun, Kounine and Braachit. According to the IDF, the facilities were being used by Hezbollah to support attacks against Israeli troops operating in the security zone.

The military said the strikes were launched in response to what it described as Hezbollah attacks on Israeli forces and continued violations of the ceasefire agreement.

The IDF also said troops from the 91st Division identified a Hezbollah cell transporting weapons by truck near the security zone overnight. It said the Israeli Air Force struck the vehicle, adding that secondary explosions observed after the attack indicated the presence of weapons inside.
