Ukraine to deploy interceptor drones in Black Sea

Ukraine plans to establish a new defense line in the Black Sea using interceptor drones to protect Odesa and the surrounding region.

Axar.az reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made the announcement on his official Telegram channel.

According to Zelensky, the new technological solution envisages deploying interceptor drones from various platforms, including launches directly from unmanned maritime vessels.

The defense line is intended to provide reliable protection for Odesa and the wider region against hostile threats.

Zelensky said the introduction of such technologies is a response to modern security challenges and will strengthen Ukraine's naval capabilities.

“I believe the most important thing Ukraine has today in its naval component is the experience that is developing every day,” he said.
