The sons of Iran’s former Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, have appeared in public for the first time since the start of the U.S.-Iran war on February 28.
Axar.az reports, citing Tasnim, that the former supreme leader’s sons, Mostafa, Masoud and Meysam, attended their father’s farewell ceremony on Sunday.
However, Mojtaba Khamenei, who was elected Iran’s new supreme leader after his father’s death, did not attend the funeral ceremony.
According to reports, Mojtaba Khamenei insisted on attending his father’s funeral, but the supreme leader’s security service did not allow him to do so.
The farewell ceremonies for Ali Khamenei began on July 3 and will continue until July 9.
