IDF: Two Hamas commanders killed in Gaza strikes

Two Hamas militants were killed in separate Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip last week, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

Axar.az reports that the IDF identified those killed as Muhammad Najib Ashour, a Nukhba platoon commander in Hamas' military wing, and Tamer Saeed Abu Nakhal, a cell commander in Hamas' military wing.

“The two terrorists, who were involved in advancing attacks against IDF troops, posed a threat to the troops and were subsequently eliminated in precise strikes,” the IDF said.

The military added that measures were taken before the strikes to reduce civilian harm, including the use of precision-guided munitions and aerial surveillance.

According to the IDF, forces under the Southern Command remain deployed in the area in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue operations against any immediate threats.
