Ukraine hits Hvardiiske airfield in Crimea

Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck the Hvardiiske airfield in Crimea during the night of July 4-5.

Axar.az reports, citing Ukraine’s General Staff, that the military said the extent of the damage is still being assessed.

The General Staff described Hvardiiske as one of Russia’s key military airfields in Crimea, used to host tactical and naval aviation aircraft, support combat operations, provide logistics, and conduct aircraft maintenance.

Ukrainian forces also struck a road bridge over the Hruzkyi Yalanchyk River near Huselnykove and a road bridge over the Kalmius River near Staromariivka in the Donetsk region.

In addition, the military reported strikes on three Russian ammunition depots located in the Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kherson regions.
