Iranian forces strike US vessel in Indian Ocean -

The Iranian Army announced that its Navy launched a shore-to-sea cruise missile at a US naval vessel in the Northern Indian Ocean during the latest phase of Operation Saeqeh (Lightning), forcing the vessel to withdraw from the area.

Axar.az reports, citing Fars News Agency, that according to the Army's Public Relations Office, the cruise missile targeted a hostile US vessel operating in the Northern Indian Ocean as part of the continuing phases of Operation Saeqeh.

The statement said the strike caused panic among US forces aboard the vessel and compelled it to move beyond the operational range of the Iranian Navy.

The Army added that the various phases of Operation Saeqeh remain underway with full operational readiness and are being carried out in line with assigned military objectives.
