Iraqi security forces have arrested a three-member cell linked to armed militias in Babil province that was planning to carry out attacks outside the country.

Axar.az reports, citing Al-Arabiya, that the suspects were in direct contact with Iranian figures responsible for carrying out drone attacks.

Weapons and several drones were seized from the cell, which was linked to Iran.

The report did not specify which countries or targets the cell intended to attack.
