Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan on his birthday.

Axar.az reports, citing Armenian media, that he wished Kocharyan resilience in the face of trials.

“Russia has not forgotten your personal contribution to the development of friendly and allied ties between our countries. I sincerely wish you good health, strength of spirit, and resilience in the face of the trials that you and your family members are currently facing,” he said.

It should be noted that former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan was detained for two months on charges of large-scale money laundering, abuse of power, and receiving large bribes.
