The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Israel Security Agency (ISA) said they killed a Hamas-linked operative who was filmed abducting Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or during the October 7 attack.

Axar.az reports, citing the IDF, that according to the joint statement, the operative, Saher Nidal Latfi Sakr, was killed in an airstrike in the Nuseirat area of the Gaza Strip on Saturday. The strike was carried out jointly with Gideonim Unit 33 of Lahav 433.

The IDF and ISA said Sakr infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7 attack and drove the motorcycle used to take Argamani and Or from the Nova music festival into Gaza. They said he was affiliated with global jihadist organizations operating in the Gaza Strip and had supplied weapons to Hamas during the war.

The security agencies also said that Sakr had recently been involved in planning attacks against Israeli troops and civilians in cooperation with operatives from the military wings of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

The statement said that measures were taken to reduce the risk to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and aerial surveillance.

The IDF said security forces under the Southern Command remain deployed in the area in accordance with the ceasefire agreement.
