Planned exercises by the Naval Forces of Kazakhstan’s Armed Forces have begun in the Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea.

Axar.az reports, citing local media, that according to the press service of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Defense, the crews will navigate the entire waters of the Kazakh sector, practice coordination between ships, navigation and communications, vessel control and the use of weapons, and conduct live-fire exercises.

The exercises will be held in three stages. Particular attention will be paid to the actions of crews operating at a considerable distance from the shore.

According to Captain 1st Rank Arman Satkanov, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Naval Forces for Combat Training, the main objective is to improve the crews’ practical skills and coordination.

As the stages progress, the tasks will become more challenging, with additional units also joining the exercises.
