Moscow is awaiting Ankara’s response regarding possible deliveries to Ukraine of US weapons currently held by Turkiye, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that Grushko said Russia had raised the issue with the Turkish side and was awaiting clarification.

“The story is well known. We have raised all the questions with the Turkish side. We are awaiting a response and appropriate explanations,” Grushko said.

Earlier, Russia’s Foreign Ministry said it had requested clarification from Washington and Ankara following information published by the US Congress about plans to supply weapons to Kyiv.

According to the released documents, the proposed transfers involve a significant arsenal of US weapons held by Turkiye, including 12 multiple rocket launchers, more than 2,500 cluster munitions for them, 47,000 203mm cluster artillery shells and 70 ATACMS missiles.
