Explosion hits Syrian army site in Deir Ezzor

An explosion occurred at a Syrian Arab Army position in the Ayyash area west of Deir Ezzor, Syria, on Friday.

Axar.az reports, citing Sana News Agency, that the Syrian Defense Ministry’s Media and Communication Directorate said authorities were investigating the cause of the blast and assessing the damage.

A loud explosion was heard earlier in Ayyash, prompting an initial investigation into the incident.

It should be noted that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that a total of 18 Defense Ministry servicemen were killed or injured in the incident.
