Israel launched a large-scale artillery attack on Gaza

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launched a big assault over the Gaza Strip, hitting several areas, including Khan Younis.

Axar.az reports citing foreign media that according to Palestinian activists, the Israeli Defense Forces primarily used heavy artillery and airstrikes to hammer the southern part of the Gaza Strip, with the main focus being the Khan Younis region.

In a related context, the Israeli Iron Dome system monitored Friday evening the launch of two rockets from the Gaza Strip towards Israel.

Israeli Channel 13 reported that “the two rockets landed, one in an uninhabited area on the Israeli side of the border, while the other landed inside the strip.”

This latest incident comes at a time of heightened tensions between the Palestinian leadership and Israeli authorities over the possible annexation of the West Bank.
