Georgia will buy new NATO-standard armoured personnel carriers from Turkey.

Axar.az reports that the Ministry of Defense of Georgia released information about this.

"An agreement was signed between the Ministry of Defense of Georgia and ASFAT, which operates under the Ministry of National Defense of Turkey, and based on this agreement, new armoured personnel carriers will be brought to Georgia," the information says.

It should be noted that the United States will give Georgia $35 million to strengthen its defence capabilities against future threats from Russia. Starting from the beginning of 2022, Georgia received a new batch of Javelin anti-tank systems from the United States. In September, the United States transferred $11.5 million in military aid to Georgia.
