Ukraine will take back territories occupied by Russia, but not in the near future.

Axar.az reports that the chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, said this.

"All wars end sooner or later: they stop if one or the other side wins or a negotiated settlement is reached. Russia will not win this war from a military point of view," Milley stressed.

The general recalled that initially, the strategic goals of the Russians included the capture of Ukrainian territory, the overthrow of the government of Volodymyr Zelensky, and the capture of Kyiv, but more than a year has passed and Russian President Vladimir Putin has changed his goals and aims only to completely capture Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

"The strategic goals set by Russia are unattainable from a military point of view. It will not be realized," Milley said.
