The commander of the SEPAH Naval Forces proposed to the eight coastal states of the Persian Gulf to create a maritime alliance to ensure regional security.

Axar.az reports that the "Tasnim" agency has published information about this.

According to Rear Admiral Ali Reza Tangsiri, the Gulf countries are capable of ensuring regional security through mutual cooperation within the framework of the eight-state alliance:

"The maritime union will help the peoples of the region to live in peace. Outsiders incite Iranophobia to justify their illegal presence in the region. "Foreign military forces are stationed in the region to sell weapons and loot oil reserves."
