Israel began operations in southern Gaza

Israeli troops have started active military operations in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Axar.az reports that Chief of the Israel Defence Forces General Staff, Herzi Halevi, said this in a meeting with the soldiers of the Gaza Division.

He said the battle would be intense here as in the northern part of the enclave.
