Russia uses FAB-1500: Ukraine's power is running out

Russia's use of 1.5-ton guided bombs (FAB-1500) in Ukraine caused high casualties among the Ukrainian military and changed the balance of power on the front.

Axar.az informs that CNN reported on this.

"Videos about the application of aerial bombs demonstrated the great power of these shells, which destroyed the defence line of Ukraine. They are capable of causing serious damage to critical infrastructure, including thermal power plants and factories, as well as exerting strong pressure on enemy morale. FAB-1500 played an important role in the capture of Avdeyevka by Russia in February 2024," the information stated.

According to Justin Bronk, a researcher at Britain's Royal United Defense Research Institute, the use of these bombs allowed Russia to use its air power more effectively for tactical purposes:

"Only US Patriot anti-aircraft missile complexes could respond to these missiles. "But Ukraine has a limited amount of them because the US Congress has delayed funding for aid to Kyiv."
