Qarabag set for squad changes ahead of new season

Most of the current squad of Qarabag will remain with the team next season.

Axar.az report that the Aghdam-based club plans to strengthen its squad with new transfers across all positions, while some players are expected to leave.

Ukrainian midfielder Oleksiy Kashchuk, Ghanaian winger Emmanuel Addai, goalkeeper Fabian Buntic, and Azerbaijan national team striker Ramil Sheydayev are expected to leave the club.

Centre-back Sami Mmaee, who was loaned from Dinamo Zagreb and later demoted to the reserve team due to disciplinary issues, will also be released.

The futures of two full-backs — Elvin Jafarguliyev and Abbas Huseynov — remain uncertain after they were reportedly sent to the reserves for disciplinary reasons, with a return to the first team considered unlikely under coach Gurban Gurbanov.

Although there have been reports linking French winger Abdellah Zoubir with a departure, he has not informed the club of any intention to leave.
