Leaders of Russia, Germany, France to meet

Leaders of Russia, Germany and France will hold a joint meeting on the sidelines of the Group of 20 meeting in China, said a Kremlin message posted on its website.

The agreement on this issue was reached Aug. 23 during a phone conversation of Russia’s President Vladimir Putin with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and France’s President Francois Hollande.

The problems of the Ukrainian crisis, including the prospects for the continuation of the Minsk process, based on the synchronization of political steps and corresponding measures in the security sphere, were discussed, according to the message.

The G20 of the world’s largest developed and developing countries will hold their annual summit on Sept. 4-5 in the city of Hangzhou.
