32% of Ukrainians believe that Ukraine can compromise part of its territory in order to achieve immediate peace and preserve its independence.

Axar.az reports that. this is stated in the results of the survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.

Nevertheless, the majority of survey participants - 55% - were against any territorial concessions to Russia.

According to sociologists, from May 2022 to May 2023, the situation was relatively stable: about 8-10% of respondents were ready for territorial concessions, while the absolute majority - 82-87% - consistently opposed concessions.

After May 2023, the share of citizens who are ready for territorial concessions is increasing. Thus, by the end of 2023, the willingness to compromise increased to 19%, to 26% in February 2024, and to 32% in May 2024.
