20 miners killed in the latest assault in Pakistan

Unknown assailants have launched an armed attack on a coal mine in Pakistan's Balochistan province.

Axar.az reports that the Associated Press reported this. Armed individuals surrounded the coal mine located in the Duki area and opened fire on the living quarters designated for miners.

As a result, at least 20 miners have been killed, and 7 others have been injured. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

The agency notes that the assault occurred ahead of a major security summit to be held in Islamabad.
