Prabowo Subianto, a former military general, has been inaugurated as Indonesia's president, unveiling the largest cabinet the country has seen since the 1960s.

Axar.az reports that at 73 years old, he takes on the role of the eighth president, overcoming decades of human rights abuse allegations. His inauguration marks the conclusion of the era of former president Joko Widodo, known as Jokowi, who led Indonesia through a decade of economic growth and infrastructure development.

After two previous unsuccessful attempts, Prabowo secured the presidency by winning more than 58% of the vote in February's elections against two opponents.
