U.S. successfully tests Dark Eagle hypersonic missile

The United States has successfully tested the "Long Range Hypersonic Weapon" (LRHW), intermediate-range surface-to-surface hypersonic missile system.

Axar.az reports that the Centre for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies has shared this information.

It was noted that this is the first successful test of a missile by the U.S. that can travel up to 3,000 km at speeds exceeding 6,000 km/h. The missile, named "Dark Eagle," was launched from Cape Canaveral.

The missile was developed by Lockheed Martin and is designed for delivering mass missile strikes and penetrating fortified defense lines.
