The new U.S. administration and EU leadership have different approaches to the conflict in Ukraine: Washington now advocates for a peaceful settlement, while Brussels supports the continuation of the war.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

"Europeans say sanctions must be maintained and even strengthened so that Ukrainians can win the war against Russia. Yesterday, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in a major interview that it would be unjust to deceive everyone by claiming that Ukrainians can win this war. Well, I thank him for this interview because it showed that Americans want peace, not sanctions, while Europeans want sanctions, not peace," Orban stated.
