When there will be an agreement to meet between the border delimitation commissions of Armenia and Azerbaijan, the day will be announced; at the moment, there is no agreement on a specific time or day.

Axar.az reports that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during his press conference.

"Everything will take place in the manner described in the regulations of the commissions. That document has been publicized. We are ready, and I must honestly say that the border delimitation process, in fact, became very tangible in 2024. We have the first interstate paper with Azerbaijan. Every country has ratified that document, which is of cornerstone importance. There is already an agreement that in the coming period, the commissions, the parties will focus on the work on the delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border from the Georgian border to the Iranian border," Pashinyan noted.

Touching on the issue of a peace agreement with Azerbaijan, the Armenian Prime Minister stated that there is no new development on this matter:

"I have already said that 15 of the 17 articles in the draft have been agreed upon. There are two unagreed points, and Armenia has proposed solutions for both of them. One of them concerns the non-deployment of the representatives of third-country forces along the border. We [i.e. Armenia] propose to apply this to the border, the delimited sections. And there is also a legal framework the topic of withdrawing disputes from international instances, which may be acceptable for us under certain circumstances and conditions. We must be convinced that we not only withdraw something from international instances, but also decline from these disputes altogether.

Otherwise, a situation may arise where we withdrew some issue, Azerbaijan also withdrew its claims—that is, we agreed that we would not take it to international instances—but at the next phase Azerbaijan puts these issues on the table in bilateral relations and there may be escalations around this. And in that case, we will already have closed our way, to manage the risk of that escalation, to use international platforms."
