Pakistan’s ground forces have eliminated 16 militants in a border clash with Afghanistan.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by Interfax.

"Our troops acted effectively, preventing these forces from infiltrating our territory," the military's press service stated.

The incident occurred on the night of March 23 in Pakistan’s North Waziristan district (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province).

It was noted that the clash took place amid the visit of Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, Mohammad Sadiq, to Kabul for discussions on bilateral relations and economic issues.
