Israel’s targeting of Syrian and Lebanese territories demonstrates its persistence in expansionist policies.

Axar.az reports that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan made this statement during the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and Arab League’s Gaza Contact Group meeting in Cairo.

"Peace in the region is impossible without stopping Israel. Our main goal should be to halt the destruction in Gaza and establish a permanent ceasefire. Pressure on Israel must increase," the minister stated.

Fidan also noted that Egypt’s Gaza plan, supported by all OIC countries, provides a constructive framework and should be pursued.
