Axar.az reports that during today's hearings, representatives of the Democratic Party called for the resignation of US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegsett. They rejected the statements of the Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, and the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, John Ratcliffe, that no classified information was shared in the correspondence, and demanded that the head of the Pentagon take responsibility.

It was stated that the dissemination of classified information belonging to the US through a regular application is irresponsible.

National Security Advisor Mike Waltz took responsibility for adding the editor-in-chief to the correspondence, which also included the defense secretary, the vice president, and other high-ranking Trump administration officials. Congressional hearings on the incident have been underway for two days. US officials claim that no classified information was shared in the correspondence.
