Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has dismissed his assistant for parliamentary affairs, Shahram Dabir.

Axar.az informs that this information was reported by the "Azad Iran" Telegram channel.

The reason for Shahram Dabir's dismissal was her trip to Antarctica. The presidential decree stated:

"Your vacation trip to Antarctica during the Nowruz holiday has been confirmed. In a government that prides itself on following the example of believers, in a situation where economic pressures on the people are high and deprivations are widespread, it cannot be defended or justified for officials to go on expensive vacations, even at their own expense."

It should be noted that the footage of Shahram Dabir's trip to Antarctica caused a sharp protest from citizens.
