The British railway minister, Lord Peter Handy, has admitted using his mobile phone while driving a double-decker bus.
Axar.az informs that the minister's press secretary reported this.
"The incident took place last month. He was driving an old Routemaster bus in London when he was texting a friend. Rather than hide it, the minister contacted the police about his mistake," the spokesman said.
A source close to Lord Handy said that he would accept possible fines.
The minister also apologized to the public after the footage was released.
It is worth noting that this is not the first such case in Britain. Thus, former security minister and MP Tom Tugendhat was caught talking on the phone while behind the wheel in 2022 and was disqualified from driving for six months.
